Terraseo white bean

The Terraseo white bean (Fasou Biancu de Terraseo) is a traditional variety cultivated for decades in the hamlet of Terraseo, in the municipality of Narcao. Widespread especially in the gardens of the locality of Terratzu, it benefits from a favourable microclimate, an abundance of water and flat soils. The cultivation techniques and food traditions related to this legume have been maintained in aor continued at least from the first half of the twentieth century, thanks to the care and passion of local growers.
