Description
The Gavoi potato is a symbolic vegetable of the Gavoese territory, cultivated and appreciated since 1800. Known as the Gavoesa potato, it stands out for its fine organoleptic qualities and its value as an element of Sardinian agricultural biodiversity. Molecular studies conducted by the Science and Advice for Scottish Agriculture (SASA) have confirmed the uniqueness of its genetic profile with respect to oltre 1000 varieties present in international databases, underlining their importance and authenticity.
