Fico Mattalona

Michele Puddu, owner of the Puddu Michele Agricultural Farm in Sorgono, combines two worlds of biodiversity: the care of the Mattalona Fig, a local fruit variety, and the protection of native equids such as the Asinara Donkey and the Sardinian Donkey. His activity tells an overview of agrobiodiversity, where plants and animals find a sustainable balance. Michele works with passion to keep the varietal memory of the fig alive and to guarantee natural conditions for equine breeds.

Sorgono, in the green heart of the island, is a land of silence among the woods and vineyards of Mandrolisai. It represents one of the purest expressions of inland Sardinia, far from tourist flows.
