Niedda almond

In Our Garden is a guardian agriculture project in Quartu Sant’Elena, led by Ramona Bavassano, which focuses on the safeguarding of different varieties of traditional fruit plants of Sardinia. Among these, the Niedda almond, the Cossu almond, the Murra fig, and the Arrubia almond stand out. Through a cultivation approach that respects natural cycles, Ramona promotes the recovery and valorization of cultivars that tell the botanical and productive history of the island, contributing to the conservation of local plant biodiversity.
